As promised

. . . a picture of my tree.

Dear Tree,
When I went to take a picture of you - I discovered the horror that you are definitively balding.
*sniff sniff*

This is the best picture I get get that day ~ unless I stood in the road . . . which just isn't exactly a good idea. Especially during tourist season. ;)

We will miss your color. Yes we will. We will miss the fact that you once slightly resembled a large tree sized corn on the cob. You are by far, the most awkwardly tall tree on our street.
But you are so gorgeous from the view in my room. So very fluffy. Not awkward at all.

See you in the spring! Don't forget to bring the tulips with you.

Mucho love.

Your neighbor,

~Laura

What day is it?

♥ I wish, I wish that I loved knitting. Every Autumn, Sarie ~ and a great deal of friends ~ start working on new exciting knitting projects. They go yarn shopping. Then they bring home these amazingly soft, lush colored skiens of yarn . . . and oh golly, I wish I loved the actual knitting part of knitting!

♥ School has been terribly discouraging this week. Studied extremely hard . . . but not hard enough. Because my practice test score was sad. So sad. So, aside from this blog post ~ that is all Bebe and I have been doing today. Studying, studying, studying. Grateful that I have such a lovable wrinkle darling to study with ~ she thinks I'm very smart. So there.

♥ I'm craving Thanksgiving.

♥ I adore the tree in front of my window. The leaves went from yellow to a dark orangish red. It makes my room very golden. Loooove it. *sigh*

♥ Extremely excited about doing Project 365 again next year! I didn't this year. I miss it. It's motivating. Anyone else planning on doing it next year?

Happy November!

I'm alive!

I'm back! I'm back! And I've been behaving myself, honest. School drowned me.
I forgave it though ~ because I'm honestly adoring having school again this fall. ;)
. . . spending time with the fambly. Absorbing the amazing, amazing colors and food that only Autumn can bring.
. . . and admiring Sara's pumpkin picking skills.

Oo oo! Grosgrain has a gorgeous, gorgeous giveaway this week. As always! Lovely place. Click Here.

I still think this dress is too cute.

I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils . . .

I think my brain isn't quite excepting the fact that it is, indeed . . . Fall. It's mentally still in warm sunny Tybee Island. Thus I go into brain freeze every time I go outside. Bebe too ~ every time we go out she runs right back in. We're are both extremely cold-natured . . . match made in heaven . . what can I say.

I adore Autumn, however. It's my most favorite season! I'm determined not to miss out on any more of it than I have already. We had yummy warm chili the other night . . . then Apple Turnovers for desert. I have become a turnover making addict. They are so fun and easy ~ and end pretty happy. I followed this recipe of Ina Garten's.(The most trust worthy FoodNetwork chef for desserts . . . in my humble opinion.)
To top things off. . . . today I watched 'You've Got Mail'. Fall isn't fall until you have settled down with a new exciting sewing project and watch 'You've Got Mail'. It's classic . . . and wonderful.
I have just rambled like crazy. Sara says this post is a brain freeze. Oops!
I'm still overdosing on cough drops ~ give me a break!

Home Again, Home Again

I looked out my window this morning . . .
and it was Autumn!
It was Autumn to the fullest.
It is glove wearing, tea sipping, scarf swinging, Autumn!
Whew! Freezing! But it is honest to goodness gorgeous.

Happy Autumn, Blog World!

Savannah & Movie Stars!

^
Sarie thinking I'm taking a picture of something else . . . thus "moving out of my way". hehehehe

Savannah is so addicting! Really. There is just so much to see ~ you never feel ready to leave. It's such a romantic city. OOoooh. So lovely. I'm not really a city person. No no. I love my small town that is home. Home sweet home. I like to be able to walk from one end of town - to the other ~ and still be alive.
BUT I wouldn't complain if I ever had to live in Savannah. It would be a city of my choice for sure.
We took the Movie Tour today! We never take tours like that. Nope. So it was extra exciting. Seeing the places where scenes from . . Forest Gump, Cape Fear (Yeah, I was somewhere where Mr. Gregory Peck was. Sahweeet.), Something To Talk About . . . and so on . . were filmed.

But today was a most fabulous day to take this tour! So, we were getting all settled in on the bus . . . yada yada . . .waiting for our tour. Well, it turns out that today was the first day of filming of The Conspirator! And apparently our guide (as well as two of the other tourists) had already seen Robert Redford once that day! Anyways, we got to go on the set!! As close as we could anyway.
We could see movement on the monitors and the cameras - way neato. It was so exciting! We were so very close to Robert Redford and James McAvoy! Oooh the anticipation! Unfortunately, they were filming indoors the entire time we were there. But it was still neat and exciting.
I mean . . . Rooobert Redford and James McAvoooy. Awesomeness.
Some of the extra peoples. :)
